The term Customer Engagement has been used interchangeably with the term Customer Service due to the rise of social media. This is because, today, in order to promise effective delivery of service to your clients, you have to talk to, relate to, and engage with them on a ‘conversational level’. Social media is what drives customer engagement today, it not only provides apt tools for branding your business, but ensures that a long lasting community is built. By having platforms like Twitter and Facebook at your fingertips, engaging with your customers has never been easier, or more convenient!
Another way that increases customer engagement is to get your clients talking about you! Use marketing strategies to get customers to intentionally or even unintentionally build your awareness! They say that Starbucks baristas purposely misspell names, in order to get customers snapchatting, tweeting, and posting pictures of their mislabeled cup of coffee! 😋

Creative Strategy is the strategic approach a company needs to take in developing and implementing steps that will promise the growth of the business. It is primarily an outline of how the end goals are planned to be met. Developing your brand’s creative strategy requires heavy time, energy, and a portion of your marketing budget. Content Marketing is a style of Creative Strategising. Two effective creative content marketing strategies are 1) Using Humour, and 2) Writing a Killer Headline.
Humour, well because: Research shows that when you make customers feel happy, they react in a positive way to you and your brand. It’s all about Psychology. At the same time though, ensure your humour is natural, as forcing it would just backfire. Next, a killer headline attached to the content you aim to provide for your audience will rarely fail, although ensuring that you follow through on your promise in the headline is a must!

Your brand message creates a communication channel between your business and your target audience. It is directed towards appealing to their values and desires, and is conveyed through the content and information you provide to them. Why do consumers today want a brand message? They need to make decisions, and this is helped through providing consumers with giving them a specific value, belief, or passion for them to relate to. Your brand message will allow for your company’s values and reputation to be strengthened in the outside world, and for you to resonate with your ideal audience. An example is Levi’s slogan, “Quality Never Goes Out Of Style” - which appeals to customers who value quality and image over price!

Rebranding and switching things up in your company is known to be a proactive method to improve your brand. Why? It re-engages your customers, differentiates your brand from your competitors, separates your brand from similar brands that consumers may confuse with yours, and it also gives you the chance to appeal out to new customers with a fresh new look or message. Although, you should ensure you are clear on the purpose of your rebrand before you go into it. Like, what do you want to accomplish with this change? One should plan out their marketing strategy through getting the most from what they already have. This means being able to understand your inventory of resources and what resources can be deployed in your marketing efforts for the best outcomes: Time on your hand? Money in the bank begging to be used on something worthwhile? For example, if you have time on your hand and are good at doing social media activities but have no money, then marketing based on blogging and social media interactions would highly benefit you. On the other hand, if you are experienced in the advertising world and have a big budget, direct advertising campaigns would be the right choice. Lastly, if you’re great with meeting up with people, and have both the time and money to invest in an event heavy calendar, then that’s a method you could try!
