We are delighted to announce that Cisco Agri Challenge is entering its Finalist Phase with 8 teams, shortlisted from 25 semi-finalists. BioPrime AgriSolutions Pvt Ltd, DvaraEdairy, Ecozen, EmerTech Innovations, Khethworks , S4S Technologies, Takachar, and Whrrl emerged as the top-performing teams, after undergoing a series of rigorous evaluation processes over the last 6 months. The finalists will now compete to win the grand prize of ₹1 Crore as we look for the team with the greatest potential to improve farmer profitability for 10 million farmers.

We congratulate the finalists and look forward to traversing the last leg of this challenge with them by providing all required support through our partner ecosystem to help them cover greater distances and meet the challenge objectives.

Day 3 of the "Fabfive", 5-day celebration.
Today we introduce "Bionexus"- our microbe discovery, isolation platform. Bionexus is a project that is very dear to our hearts, a concept that was formed years ago, when Renuka Diwan and Amit Shinde were completing their PhDs. Based on the "Hologenomics" approach, introduced to us by Richard Jefferson, we focus on microbes that by association, confer specific traits on plants.
Bionexus, took a lot of time, infrastructure development, and the most importantly assembling the perfect team so that it could take off. Even amidst the lockdown and pandemic, our team has collected samples from carefully chosen spots across India and are already have started building a microbe collection. Work has progressed at a great pace thanks to the guidance of Sucheta Joshee, with the first plant screenings beginning this month itself!

In the "sea" of seaweeds is it possible to stand apart?
There are literally thousands of seaweed products in the market and yet we can confidently say - YES WE CAN! Just look at the amazing "sea" of colours!
Thanks to our fantastic R&D team that has identified a novel molecule with potent growth-promoting activity. This molecule is produced only in a particular seaweed from a particular location. The amazing feat does not stop there, they have designed a process that enables the extraction of this molecule 40 fold higher. This did not come easy, they scanned all commercially available seaweeds using 15 different extraction types identifying and characterizing hundreds of compounds.

Day 2 of celebrations of "FabFive" is dedicated to our R&D team that is determined to disrupt the agbiotech space!
