BreakfastatCinema

BreakfastatCinema A collaborative effort of two movie-loving individuals aimed at sharing love for the culture of movi He is currently working on a life resume.

Breakfast@ aims to use cinema as a medium to create opportunities for individuals and organisations to learn about themselves and the world around them. Cinema, in its various roles, as a time machine, a vehicle that travels through geographies (real and fantastical), a keen observer of individuals and societies, a mirror to one's own mind and heart, a chronicler of cultures and peoples, and a sto

ryteller, has the ability to transform us. Viewed with guided appreciation, it provokes introspection and a re-examination of the self. With a firm belief in the above, we provide training, using movies as a tool, to students, corporates and groups that express an interest in learning and growing. The moderators at Breakfast@ are:

Abhinav Kandarp (Movie Buff, Writer, Filmmaker, Trainer)

Tarkovsky wrote this about artistic creation. But read it again slowly... He's really writing about every single human being who has ever tried to understand something bigger than themselves.

"No step that takes man nearer to a full understanding of the meaning of his existence can be too small to count."

That's not just a philosophy of cinema. That's a reason to keep showing up.

Is there a quote -- from a film, a book, anywhere -- that you've been carrying around lately? Drop it in the comments.

Shyam Benegal. Govind Nihalani. Smita Patil... And so many more luminaries of Indian cinema who emerged from here.

A movement that rewrote Indian cinema, and nearly got forgotten, if not for its quiet but profound impact on Indian cinema of today.

Last year we explored where it began. This year, Frames of Change Part II takes you into its defining years: the 1970s and 80s. The films. The directors. The aesthetics and philosophy that changed everything. 🎞️

First presented at the Museum of Art and Photography (MAP), Bengaluru, this seminar is a 4-hour deep dive into the reasons that made Parallel Cinema necessary, and the people brave enough to make it. ✨

New to the series? No problem. This is also a standalone seminar.

📍 The Design Outhouse Studio, Deccan, Pune
🎟️ ₹750 Early Bird (before 20th May) | ₹900 after

He first found us through the words we wrote.

Ameya (.h.a.n.a.b.a.d.o.s.h ) runs wildlife tours for a living, but his heart has always been about books, photography, architecture, and now, films. When we used to write about films for his online magazine *Pensive* (.emagazine), neither of us knew what that connection would grow into.

Then he came to a session. Then another. And another.

Today, Ameya is one of those rare people in the room who makes everyone think harder. His questions go deeper, his observations open doors, and his presence has a way of pulling others into the conversation with the same energy he brings.

When someone like him - a reader, a thinker, a nature lover, a person who has moved through entirely different worlds - tells you that our programmes changed how he watches films, that means everything.

If you’ve been curious about what our sessions are actually like, watch this. This is the room we build, every time.

We have two sessions coming up. Pick the one that calls to you. 👇
