Goddess Parvati instructed her young son, Ganesha to guard the door while she bathed. He obediently followed his mother's command, not even letting his father Lord Shiva an entry into the Goddess' bathing area. This argument turned into a fight between the father and the son that led to the beheading of Ganesha. Later, Lord Shiva resurrected the boy after placing an elephant's head on his body.

'Duty is above everything'. A lesson all devotees must learn from Lord Ganesha. During this pandemic, the frontline workers continue to toil, make sacrifices putting duty at fore to make life smoother for rest. All we can do is reciprocate by following instructions and making their task smoother.

This Ganesh Chaturthi, we thank all the frontline workers and hope you practice the duty-first approach for the sake of society and your loved ones.

To scale up the operations and escalate faster delivery of testing kits for the novel coronavirus ( -19), Abhijit Pawar, Chairman of AP Globale (also MD of Sakal Media Group), and Adar Poonawalla, Serum India’s CEO, have partnered with the -based molecular diagnostics company Discovery Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The funds invested will be used for scaling production of COVID-19 testing kits and expansion of molecular diagnostic solutions.

Pune’s Mylab is the first Indian company to get commercial approval for COVID-19 test kits in India with 100 per cent concordance results. Mylabs has partnered with Serum Institute of India’s CEO Adar Poonawalla and Abhijit Pawar to scale-up production of the test kits.

The Agri-Skilling Programme has been able to reach the remotest areas of Maharashtra, benefitting the farmers from all corners of the state. This group farming initiative was the first government programme to be implemented in Vavarpada village (Surgana circle, Nashik district).

Participants from Vavarpada have expressed that they have benefitted tremendously from this initiative and are hopeful that with the help of Maharashtra Agri-Skilling Programme, they will be able to catalyse growth and development in their village.
