For the Sons of the Soil, On Mother's Day
Dedicated to our brave soldiers who guard our Motherland.
They walk the borders, cold and wild,
Far from a mother's touch so mild,
Yet in their hearts, a fire burns bright—
To guard her dreams through darkest night.
No lullaby, no warm embrace,
Just duty's call and time to face,
A thousand storms, a million fears,
Yet never once they show their tears.
The soil they kiss, the wind they breathe,
Their oath to her, in silence wreathe—
This land, their mother, fierce and true,
Her warriors clad in olive hue.
While we give roses, gifts, and song,
They march ahead, the nights are long.
No mother’s arms to hold them tight,
Yet still they rise to every fight.
So today, while candles glow and burn,
Let hearts with deepest pride return—
To those who stand, and those who fell,
For Mother India—they loved too well.
Jai Hind.
