Don't stand with the crowd because it's comfortable. The crowd is loud, but it's rarely right. The crowd will cheer you when you compromise, and abandon you when you need courage. Standing with your values is lonely at first. It will cost you friends, applause, and easy wins. People will call you stubborn, proud, difficult. Let them. Because in the end, the crowd forgets what it stood for, but a man who stands with his values even when he stands alone with a sword and a shield in a circle of spears never has to remember who he is. He already knows. The crowd follows noise. Values follow truth. Choose truth, even if you have to stand alone.
