Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology (RAIT) is the oldest engineering institute in Navi Mumbai. Established in 1983 & recognized by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Maharashtra. It belongs to the prestigious D Y Patil Group of educational institutions and is engaged in providing value based quality education.
Nestled in verdant surroundings, RAIT is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with "A" grade and holds 172nd position in National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF)- 2019 an initiative of MHRD. Departments of Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It runs undergraduate, postgraduate programs in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and Information Technology.
The institute is a recognized research centre of the University of Mumbai for Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.
Over the last 36 years, RAIT has grown to be one of the most reputed institutes in Maharashtra. It stood 3rd among top private engineering colleges in the western region (Times Engineering Survey 2019). It was also adjudged the "Best Engineering College" by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) New Delhi in 2015.
The management of RAIT has long believed in encouraging the all round development of students and this can be seen in the establishment of several technical & non-technical student committees. This has led to a spawning of several student leaders. This is reflected in 95% placement in reputed companies.
The institute has performed well in the academic arena, with strong backing from committed faculty, most of whom are armed with degrees from prestigious institutes like IITs & NITs.
