Thought behind Li'l Sparrow arts-
I am a person born in golden era of 80's.The era of scooter, B&W TV kept in a wooden cabinet with a shutter. The houses were simpler and people coexisted in harmony with nature. Shady trees, chirpy birds, butterflies, hopping squirrels were our co-inhabitants. The little brown- black speckled chirpy HOUSE SPARROW was the most common bird to be seen around. Her f
avorite spot was kitchen's window pane. She would peep in and fly from post to pillar asking for a piece of Chappati from my mother. Another fond memory is of the man on bicycle who would ring the bell and say "chitthi lelo"...a letter or a card, which was always opened with great curiosity and no doubt it use to bring the most sparkly smile on our face. Who said only big expensive gifts conveyed our love? Greeting on an occasion was reflection of someone sitting miles away has fondly remembered you. A BEST OF LUCK card in month of march by an aunt and a birthday greeting scribbled on from one corner to another sent by a cousin was an annual affair. The times have changed. The little sparrow vanished from our surroundings, amidst the concrete jungle, the signal towers - she is no-where to be seen now and just like that no one now sends a greeting on birthday, anniversary or a best of luck card. The advancing technology and wireless system took away these little pleasures. In an attempt to revive this old world charm where bonds were cherished, we are bringing you an exclusive series of hand made cards.
