In the states of Punjab and Haryana as well as Union Territory Chandigarh ,all the District and Sub-Divisionl Courts will also function restrictively from 01-05-2020 till the lockdown/curfew is in force in the respective area and District and sessions judge will make arrangement iin their respective sessions Division in such a manner that one or two Additional District & Sessions judge(s) alongwith one or ore Civil Judges-Cum-Judicial Magistrates and minimum Suppourting Staff, so required, Shall attend the urgent matters on rotation basis.
The number of judicial officers/officials to be so deputed for urgent work in the concerned sessions Division shall be decided by the respective District and Sesions judge
The remaining officers as well as the staff shall work from home during the above said period and shall not leave the station without prior permission of the DJ/SJ. Further they will also make themselves available immediately as and when their services are required.
The cases already fixed in the courts during the above mentioned period shall be adjourned by making appropriate arrangements by the respective District and Sessions judge(s)."
