Syed Tajmul Visits Injured Lineman at JVC Hospital, Assures Family of All Possible Assistance

Srinagar, October 13: PDP spokesperson Syed Tajmul Islam visited JVC Hospital, Srinagar, to enquire about the health of Ab Aziz Sheikh, a lineman of the Power Development Department (PDD), Sumbal, who sustained serious injuries after falling from an electric pole while performing his official duties.
During the visit, Tajmul met the injured lineman’s family and expressed his sympathy and concern over the incident. He also met the hospital administration and urged them to ensure the best possible medical care for the injured employee, with special emphasis on facilitating his surgery at the earliest.

Tajmul assured the family that he would extend all possible assistance and support during this difficult time. He expressed hope for the lineman’s speedy recovery and prayed for his early return to good health.

The family expressed hope that timely medical intervention would help the injured lineman recover soon.

*International Girl Child Day Celebrated at Asham Sumbal*

As per plan of action and calender of activities for the month of October
,2026,Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC), Sumbal in collaboration with *Rizwan Memorial College of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Asham Sumbal*, organized an awareness programme at Rizwan Memorial college of nursing and paramedical science on today.
The programme was aimed at highlighting the rights, education, health and empowerment of the girl child and to spread awareness about various legal provisions for protection of girl child.
*Adv. Tasleema Jan* was the resource person on the occasion. She threw light on various laws relating to girl child including Protection of Child from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, Right to Education, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme and various welfare schemes launched by NALSA and J&K Legal Services Authority. She stressed upon the need to end gender discrimination and to promote equal opportunities for girls in education and career.

Students, staff members of the college and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of TLSC Sumbal, namely *Mr. Tariq Ahmad Parray and Ms. Abida Jan*, participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. An interactive session was also held where students shared their views.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.
