Statement by Sabiha Bhat, District Vice President, Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party
The decision to impose 10+2 as the maximum educational qualification for Class-IV (MTS) and Sanitation Worker posts is not only unfair but deeply troubling for our educated youth.
It is unacceptable that a young person can be denied a job opportunity simply because they have worked harder, studied further and earned higher qualifications. Education must never become a disqualification for employment.
At a time when our youth are already facing serious employment challenges, such a policy risks discouraging higher education and penalising those who have invested years of their lives and their families’ hard-earned resources in education.
I strongly demand that the Government immediately withdraw the maximum qualification restriction and ensure equal opportunity for all eligible candidates. If existing rules are creating this barrier, they must be amended without delay.
Our educated youth deserve opportunities, not additional barriers. The Government must act now and do justice to our young people.
Make the demand more direct
