Why It’s Important to Step Out of Routine & Invest in Your Hobbies

In our everyday work life, it’s easy to get trapped in a loop — meetings, deadlines, responsibilities, decisions. We move from one task to another, often forgetting the most important investment we can make: investing in ourselves.

Over the years, I’ve realised that stepping outside my regular work and giving time to my hobbies is not a luxury — it’s a necessity.
It refuels your mind, resets your emotions, and reconnects you with your inner self.

For me, that space is biking.
Riding across different terrains, exploring new locations, meeting new people, and feeling the wind on my face — it reminds me that life is much larger than our to-do lists.

When I’m on my bike, I’m not a founder, a consultant, or a coach.
I’m just me.
Present. Alive. Aware.

Biking teaches me things my boardrooms can’t:
• The power of slowing down
• The joy of discovering the unknown
• The courage to take new routes
• And the beauty of trusting your journey

Whatever your hobby is — biking, music, trekking, cooking, painting — invest in it.
It’s not time away from life; it’s time that adds life to everything else you do.

So here’s a gentle reminder:
Step out of your daily rhythm once in a while.
Do what makes your heart beat faster.
Nurture the part of you that work can never define.

It Because sometimes, the road outside has the answers your desk never will.

For the last 14 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless small and medium business owners, founders, and dreamers. I’ve seen extraordinary people build extraordinary products — products born from passion, grit, sleepless nights, and an unshakeable belief in creating something meaningful.
But I’ve also seen something else…
Many of these brilliant founders struggle to reach the world — not because their product isn’t great, but because they never had a platform to tell their story.
And that is exactly where Grow Bharat comes in. 🇮🇳✨
Grow Bharat is more than a marketing initiative; it is a mission.

A mission to support India’s MSMEs and startups by giving them the power of creative storytelling, strong marketing systems, and a voice that can be heard beyond boundaries.

We will work hand-in-hand with founders — understanding their journey, their challenges, their customers, and their dreams — and help them scale, grow, and step confidently onto the global stage.

Because I believe this with all my heart:
Every business has a story. And the world needs to hear it.
Here’s to empowering Indian businesses.
Here’s to taking Bharat to the world.

It’s been almost five years since our team has been running remotely — spread across cities and time zones . Yet every 4–6 months, we make it a point to pause, meet, reflect, and recharge together.

This October , I decided to host our team meet in my own hometown — Sumerpur, Jawai, a place known for its serene landscapes and the famous leopard sightings.

Our journey filled with learning, challenges, and countless moments of growth. Working remotely comes with its own highs and lows, but every time we meet, we’re reminded of what truly binds us — purpose, trust, and togetherness.

This year’s theme was “Accountability & Ownership.”
While each team member already embodies these values in their work, this meet was about taking them to the next level — about owning not just the tasks, but the outcomes and the impact we create.

We shared laughter, deep reflections, and some beautiful time with each other’s families too.

Grateful to every single member of this team for making work not just about deliverables, but about shared growth and real human connection.

Today, when the world is filled with digital noise and clutter, it’s the simple message that truly stands out.

I came across a water tanker ad — no brand name, no features, no benefits, no advantages. Just a direct message with contact details.

Isn’t it interesting? In its simplest and most innocent way, it reaches the customer without any extra noise.

On the other hand, organizations spend billions trying to craft the perfect message, only to clutter it with irrelevant information.

The lesson is simple:
When planning any marketing campaign, always remember — the consumer is the most important. Focus on what they truly want from your product or service.

👉 Keep it simple.
👉 Keep it straight.
👉 Cut the noise.

If you’re reading this, consider yourself truly blessed.
You didn’t just survive a virus — you’ve endured a storm that changed the world forever. Today marks five years since the world was shaken by COVID-19, a time that tested every heart, every home, every hope. And yet, here you are — breathing, living, and moving forward.

We all carry scars — some visible, some silent. But more than anything, we carry stories. Stories of resilience. Of survival. Of rediscovering what truly matters.

I don’t need to remind you what COVID taught us — we all felt it. But I do want to remind you of what it means to live fully and consciously:
• Be kind — everyone is fighting a battle you may never see.
• Don’t sweat the small stuff — life is too precious for petty worries.
• Help someone — even a small act can change a life.
• Live with meaning — every day is a gift, not a guarantee.
• Leave the earth better — for those little eyes who will inherit it tomorrow.

Let’s not forget. Let’s not go back to who we were.
Let’s move forward — gentler, stronger, and more connected than ever before. 🙏
