Legacy isn’t inherited. It’s transitioned, with clarity, courage, and conversation.
At the inter-chapter meeting of CC Surat 1 & 4, members came together alongside family members actively involved in their businesses to engage in a closed-door dialogue on one of the most critical realities of family enterprises - leadership succession.
Through lived stories and real scenarios, the session highlighted that succession is not about handing over control, but about building confidence, on both sides.
About allowing the next generation to take risks, experiment under mentorship, and grow into leadership, rather than being protected from it.
The conversations reinforced the importance of role clarity, healthy disagreement, external perspectives, and the courage to challenge ideas within the family before the market does.
Most importantly, it reminded us that family businesses are not just built on strategy - but on trust, intent, and relationships that evolve over time.
A powerful evening of reflection, learning, and connection.
