πŸ‘‘ Surya is not a distant god in the sky. He is family. Look at his descendants.

β–Έ Yama, the god of death, the first mortal ever to die, is his son.
β–Έ Yamuna, the sacred river, is his daughter.
β–Έ Shani, Saturn, is his son through the shadow Chhaya.
β–Έ The Ashwini Kumaras, the twin divine physicians, are his sons. The very first nakshatra of the zodiac, Ashwini, is named after them.
β–Έ Vaivasvata Manu, the progenitor of the current human race, is his descendant. Which makes Surya the great-grandfather of humanity itself.
β–Έ Karna of the Mahabharata is his son, born with kavacha-kundala, solar armour and earrings fused to his body.
β–Έ Sugriva of the Ramayana is his son.
β–Έ And the entire Solar Dynasty, the Suryavansha, descends from him. Bhagwan Rama is of his lineage.

His royal mount among the nine planets is the lion, the king of beasts, even though he rides a chariot of horses. He is both the still king and the cosmic motion.

So when you honour Surya, you honour the ancestor of Rama and the father of Karna. And the Sun in your chart quietly links your soul to that same lineage of light, dharma and kingship.

That completes the series. Save all five, and follow for the Chandra series next πŸŒ™

πŸ”₯ The Sun was once too bright to live with. Even for his own wife.

Surya married Sanjna, daughter of Vishwakarma the divine architect. But she could not bear his brilliance. Can you sit across a dinner table from a star? Can you sleep beside the Sun?

So she did something extraordinary. She peeled off her own shadow, named it Chhaya, left the shadow in her place as his wife, and fled into the forest as a mare.

Surya did not even notice. He lived with the shadow for years, and Chhaya bore him Shani, Saturn. This is why Shani is the son of a shadow, and why, to this day, Shani never looks anyone directly in the eye.

When Surya finally found the real Sanjna, she said she still could not live with his light. So Vishwakarma placed the Sun on a cosmic lathe and shaved off one-eighth of his brilliance, everywhere except his feet, because the feet are where the devotee touches him.

And the shavings? They were forged into the weapons of the gods. Vishnu's Sudarshana Chakra, Shiva's Trishula, Kartikeya's Shakti. All made of trimmed sunlight.

Here is the master teaching for your chart: a well-worked Sun is a shaved Sun. Not smaller, just tempered. An untempered Sun burns away the people it loves. But that same excess, wisely trimmed, becomes the weapon of your dharma.

🐎 Why does the Sun's chariot have exactly SEVEN horses? Not six. Not eight.

Because a single ray of sunlight splits into seven colours, VIBGYOR. Our rishis knew this thousands of years before Newton passed light through a prism.

And because a week holds seven days, each ruled by a graha. When you live through a week, you are literally being pulled through time by the Sun's seven horses.

A few details worth knowing:

β–Έ The middle horse faces forward, the other six gallop in every direction. His light reaches every corner of space.
β–Έ The reins are serpents. Time is a serpent, and the Sun rides on time itself.
β–Έ The charioteer is Aruna, born legless and premature, "the reddish one." That first crimson glow you see before the sun actually appears? That is Aruna, riding ahead of his master. We call it Aruna-prakasha, the light of the dawn, not yet the light of Surya.

Even the King of the cosmos needs a charioteer. Even the infinite needs something to channel it.

πŸ”± Look closely at Surya's form. Nothing on it is decoration. Every detail is a teaching.

In his four hands he holds four objects, and each one is an element of creation:

β–Έ Conch = Water
β–Έ Discus = Fire
β–Έ Mace = Air
β–Έ Lotus = Earth

He literally carries the four tattvas in his hands. His two front arms hold the physical world, his two back arms the spiritual one. He rules both realms at once.

Now the detail most people miss: his two earrings. They stand for the pairs of opposites, knowledge and ignorance, joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain. Surya wears them both, because he shines on the saint and the sinner in exactly the same way. His earrings are his vow of perfect neutrality.

And the lotus? It opens at sunrise and closes at sunset. It is the one flower that keeps the Sun's time. A lotus of twelve petals is the twelve months of the solar year.

A balanced Sun in your chart gives you the neutrality of a true king: radiance, without favouritism.

πŸ”₯ The Sun was once too bright to live with. Even for his own wife.

This is one of the most important stories in all of Jyotish, and by the last slide it stops being about a god and starts being about you. Swipe. ➑️

Surya married Sanjna, daughter of Vishwakarma the divine architect. She loved him. But no one can live with a star. So she peeled off her own shadow, named it Chhaya, left the shadow behind as his wife, and fled as a mare. Surya did not even notice. The shadow bore him Shani, which is why Saturn never looks anyone in the eye to this day.

When Surya finally found the real Sanjna, she still could not bear his light. So Vishwakarma placed the Sun on a cosmic lathe and shaved off one eighth of his brilliance, everywhere except his feet. And the shavings? They were forged into the weapons of the gods. His excess did not vanish. It armed the world.

Here is the teaching for your own chart. You carry a light too. Untempered, it drives away the people you love most. A powerful Sun with no humility burns everyone close to it. The work is not to become smaller. It is to become shaved. Tempered, not diminished. The king who learns to wear his crown lightly.

Be like Surya. Not smaller. Just shaved, wisely, by the hands of those who love you enough to help you be bearable. Then you shine forever.

There is exactly ONE god you can see with your own open eyes.

Every other devata needs a murti, a temple, a ritual to become visible. Surya needs none of that.

He rises, climbs, and sets every single day. A living, burning, visible god available to anyone who simply lifts their head. Our rishis called him Pratyaksha Devata, the deity you perceive directly, no priest in between.

Here is why that makes him the King of your chart:
β–Έ The Moon has no light of her own. She only reflects him.
β–Έ Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, every one is seen only by his light.
β–Έ No Surya means no zodiac, no time, no astrology at all.

This is why we open every kundali with the Sun. He is your Atma, your soul, your father, your authority, your very sense of "I am."

Your Sun is the health of your inner light. Save this and watch the whole series to learn to read it.

🌿 The Most Auspicious Star in the Sky : Meet Pushya Nakshatra πŸ„πŸ’› (Part 1/3)

If you've ever met someone whose presence feels like a warm meal and a genuine hug, you've met a Pushya native.

Pushya is the 8th Nakshatra, sitting in Cancer. Its name means "To Nourish" or "To Flourish." In Vedic tradition, it's considered the most auspicious of all 27 stars. Ancient texts say any action begun under Pushya carries a special blessing of taking root and growing.

Pushya Nakshatra : Part 1

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🌟 SYMBOL: THE COW'S UDDER
The Cow's Udder represents selfless nourishment. Just as a cow gives milk effortlessly and continuously, Pushya natives provide what is truly needed, at exactly the right time. It’s the energy of abundance and unconditional care.

πŸ”± MYTHOLOGY: BRIHASPATI : THE TEACHER OF THE GODS
Ruled by Brihaspati, the preceptor of the Gods. He holds the sacred knowledge of dharma and wisdom. Pushya natives carry this "Teacher" energy: the patience of a nurturer and the quiet authority of one who truly knows.
