ITMA ASIA Singapore - A trade booster!!!

In the last financial year only, I booked my tickets for ITMA Singapore as it was always a great show for many years till it got shifted to China.

I think it is more of convenience for nearby countries to have interaction in between global suppliers and local customers from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, many Gulf countries as well as African visitors, especially those who can't afford to go to ITMA, Europe due to high budget and those who also wanted an exhibition to fill up the gap of World renowned India ITME event (which happens every 4 years)

This year it happened after a gap of many years and that was the other reason to get good amount of visitors for the show. Though there were some technological advancements shown by prominant players, however, some of them refrained to showcase their machines due to recent uncertainity in the global market condition due to many known reasons like tariff war & on going conflicts created by certain countries.

However, the unexpected turnout of visitors has certainly given a positive sentiment or a booster dose to our textile & apparel industry which is struggling for sometime. Most of the visitors are waiting for India *ITME 2026* show which is just a few months away. The success of ITMA Singapore was always needed for Textile Industry to be positive and understand that the future would be shifting to ASEA for textile machinery manufacturing.

India ITME society arranged a networking dinner for all stakeholders including European participants as well as Indian Government representatives to showcase strength & vision for *India ITME 2026*

The time has come to plan our budgets and decide where to invest and why to invest and what should be our strategy as a textile player in actual production or business strategy for existing & new players to expand or diversify their product portfolio. This is the time & opportunity for all machinery & accessory manufacturers as well to assess the existing scenario and decide their roadmap to carve a better tomorrow for their organisations. We have a bright future and let us be a part of this change with a professional approach.

We at *Suvin*, are at your disposal as a knowledge partner, technical advisor & strategic consultant to guide the industry as always we are doing so for past more than 15 years catering to 300+ assignments within India & 25+ in the international market. Having experince of ground reality and various technologies with major emphasis on technical advancements & innovation, we can certainly help our customers to plan their future in line with challenging scenario.

Let us explore new ideas with mutual consent & better vision... it is our commitment to partner our knowledge to carve our excellent future for our customers !!!

Khadi... Needs to be an ace of trump card for Indian textile industry!!!

In recent days we know how much important is sustainability which is just not the present but also the future... And we Indians have something which is there since 7th August 1905 with a great movement called "Swadeshi" it is nothing but "Khadi" which is not just talk of the town now on Khadi Day but also a fashion icon to be celebrated with a great pride of our country... India !!!

We know by now that khadi is elegant, symbolic with environmental friendly approach, art of simple living as well as showing higher class of living standards. It has also woven various Indian cultures together with uniformity of nation pride as well as vibrancy of our cultural values, so much that most of the politicians are wearing khadi to show that they have national pride as well as simplicity towards life...

However, I feel, now time has come to show that it is just not some of the costumes but also a rear opportunity to opt for having complete traceability, human integrity, social economy as well as most of the time woman empowerment & very low carbon footprints. It also uses most of the natural colours of the fibres and give high importance to environmental fundamentals.

If we see through new generation point of view it has all that is required by the Generation Next & can be utilised for taking it to next level.

Time has come for India to adopt for some of the finishing technologies which can convert hand spun & hand-woven fabric in to high value-added applications with latest innovative technologies.

If the right new techniques are used then we have enormous possibilities to transform khadi into functional aspects of technical textiles as well with recycling techniques & also bring in to process re-circularity. We also can have options of using multiple technologies to process waste into other products to complete the value chain.

In recent evolution of dyes & chemicals we have possibilities to use natural colours of the fibres as it is or use recently developed natural colours to take care of minimal or zero use of liquid discharge.

With innovative focus techno commercial approach, it would be a right step towards new Khadi initiatives. While we are signing various FTA'a with prominent nations "khadi" can play a vital role in supplying eco-friendly textile solutions to entire world...

Let us play with this new trump card of khadi for getting mileage in textile & technical textile industry.

Wish you all Happy Handloom Day!!! 07.08.2025
