A little whimsy in bloom 🪻🌼 ~~ celebrating a cute 2 year old

Soft lilacs, delicate daisies, meadow-inspired details… and the sweetest little duck quietly nestled among it all .
A playful little departure from my usual florals, yet still thoughtfully designed — bringing together softness, texture, and tiny details to create something charming for a little celebration.

Proof that even the sweetest, most whimsical cakes can still hold a touch of artistry.
Which detail would you pause on first — the duck, the florals, or the lilac palette? 💜

Under the Floral Canopy ~~ Spring Bloom Inspired

A little bit of an MIA season for me…

Truth be told, getting back after a pause feels harder than taking one. But here we are — slowly finding rhythm again and catching up on a few of the many beautiful pieces I had the joy of creating.

This one holds a special place in my heart.

Spring, to me, is not merely a season of blooms, but a quiet awakening — marked by softness, movement, and renewed beauty. For this piece, I wanted to interpret spring through a refined and artistic lens, balancing delicate floral detailing with understated elegance.

Created as part of the Spring-themed feature for , this design was inspired by the soft melody of birds and blooms beneath a floral canopy — almost like an ornate headpiece, delicately adorned with all the beauty of spring. Featuring hand-painted stained glass elements, handcrafted sugar florals, and subtle wafer paper details, every layer was designed to feel intentional, soft, and quietly enchanting.

It was such an honour to create for this feature and finally share this beauty with you 🤍

Tell me — what’s your favourite detail? The florals, stained glass, or the soft spring palette?

Finishing this series with my love-themed floral bouquet.

Handcrafted sugar roses shaped in a heart,
a senior rose dahlia and double-toned dahlia,
blush pink orchids, delicate fillers,
and a soft pink rose to complete the story.

Fragile. Fleeting. Yet breathtakingly majestic.
Every bloom I study and craft in sugar reminds me that I’m only tracing the edges of a far greater design — one already perfected by the Creator.

Which bloom speaks to you the most? 🌹

Dahlia — “Senior’s Hope”
A majestic two-toned bloom.

In my early days of sugar flowers, most of my learning came from YouTube and blogs — pausing, replaying, practicing.

One artist I always admired was Clark from . Earlier this year, I was grateful to win one of her tutorials, and this was the bloom I chose.

Dahlias carry such a regal charm — layered, structured, quietly bold. The technique behind this one is beautiful and so thoughtfully constructed.

Still practicing. Still refining.
But I love how this turned out.

A perfect addition to my love-themed sugar flower blooms. 🌸
