Ethics of Client Confidentiality

Wikipedia defines Confidentiality as the principle that an institution or individual should not reveal information about their clients to a third party without the consent of the client or a clear legal reason. This concept is commonly provided for in law in most countries. Over the years, maintaining confidentiality has become a very sensitive subject because of the number of stories that we read about confidentiality breach on a daily basis. We have reached a stage where trusting someone is like digging one's own grave.

We at SLIDES FOR YOU (www.slidesforyou.com) take Confidentiality to a very serious level, ensuring that all client data are deleted either at the end of a project or every 2 weeks. Our clients put their individual careers on the line when trusting us with their sensitive/confidential data. Hence, we insist that our clients send us NDAs which we sign with the full understanding that the data shared is to be used ONLY for the specific purpose requested. All materials received from clients are safely transferred to secure digital folders labelled for each client before starting work. Not more than one Specialist works on one project and we ensure that competitive clients are NOT assigned to the same individual. Having spent a considerable time in McKinsey, we have learnt the the importance of dealing with sensitive material and maintaining confidentiality.
