Minister for Industries, Information Technology & Startups, P. K. Kunhalikutty, visited Technopark today (20-05-2026).
Shri Kunhalikutty, who has played a key leadership role in the development and expansion of Kerala’s IT sector, visited India’s first IT park, widely regarded as the country’s largest and greenest IT park, shortly after assuming charge as Minister for IT and Industries, Government of Kerala.
During his maiden visit to Technopark, the Minister interacted with CEOs of IT parks and senior officials from leading government IT institutions to understand the current landscape of Kerala’s technology ecosystem and discuss future growth opportunities.
Shri Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Special Secretary, Department of Electronics & IT, Government of Kerala, presented “Kerala Tech Sector: Context and Goals”, outlining the sector’s growth trajectory, key challenges, pipeline projects, innovation initiatives, startups, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Shri Sandip Kumar IAS, CEO, Technopark, welcomed the Minister during the visit.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders from Kerala’s IT ecosystem, including Shri Susanth Kurunthil, CEO of Infopark Kochi and Cyberpark Kozhikode; Shri Anoop Ambika, CEO, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM); Dr Saji Gopinath, Vice Chancellor, Digital University Kerala (DUK); Dr Santhosh Babu IAS (Retd.), MD, KSITIL and K-FON; Dr Alex P James, Director, IIITM-K and Professor-in-Charge, Maker Village; Dr Sunil TT, Director of ICFOSS and C-DIT; and Smt Gayathri K, Chief Finance Officer, KSPACE, Shri. Muraleedharan Manningal, CEO of ICT Academy of Kerala.
Lead IT strategists Dr Anoopa Narayanan, Sreenath Njaneswar, Akshay Kannan, and Prakash Matthew were also present.
