TNMU is the first among medical universities in Ukraine in the world ranking of Webometrics
The next ranking of universities in the world Ranking Web of Universities (Webometrics) for January 2022 has been published, which reflects the activities of higher education institutions during the second half of 2021. The ranking is made by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) under the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Developers publish it twice a year - in July and January.

In the new version of the rating Ternopil National Medical University took first place among medical universities of Ukraine and first place among universities of Ternopil region. TNMU also received the sixteenth position among 313 Ukrainian higher education institutions. In total, this time the representation in the web space was estimated for more than 31 thousand universities around the world.
The Webometrics ranking has been compiled since 2004 by one of the largest scientific institutions in Europe - the National Research Council of Spain.
In determining the position of the university in the ranking, developers take into account the following indicators:

✔Impact - a combination of the number of external hyperlinks to the university domain (external inlinks) and the number of domains from which these links come (referring domains). The number of such links indicates the importance of published materials (most of these links are similar to citations in the bibliography).

✔Openness (openness) - the number of files on the university website in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) and Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt), indexed by the academic search engine Google Scholar.

✔Excellence (high quality) - scientific articles published by the authors of the university in journals indexed by the bibliometric database SCOPUS, and are among the 10% of articles most cited in their scientific fields according to the Scimago Group.
