Job Description
To ensure complete and timely compliance with all applicable mining, labour, factory, environmental, safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements, while maintaining proper records, licenses, returns, and coordination with government authorities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with applicable Mines & Minerals, mining lease, royalty, DMG, and other mining-related regulations.
Maintain, monitor, and renew mining-related licenses, permissions, approvals, and statutory documents; coordinate with the Department of Mines & Geology (DMG) and other authorities; ensure timely submission of mining returns, reports, and declarations; track lease conditions and records of extraction, transportation, dispatch, royalty, and permits.
Ensure compliance with the Factories Act / Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions requirements, labour laws, rules, and notifications, including PF & EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour, Standing Orders, and Shops & Establishments.
Oversee statutory returns, register maintenance, and contractor compliance/documentation.
Coordinate compliance for Pollution Control Board, Environmental Clearance, Consent to Establish/Operate, and renewals; monitor environmental conditions, maintain records/reports/monitoring data, and liaise with consultants and departments.
Ensure statutory compliance for occupational health, industrial safety, PPE, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety; coordinate safety inspections, audits, trainings, incident records, and corrective actions.
Maintain a centralized Compliance & License Tracker to ensure zero lapse across mining permissions, factory licenses, PCB consents, environmental approvals, Fire NOC, labour registrations, and contractor licenses.
Coordinate government department inspections/audits, handle statutory notices and communications, prepare documentation, and ensure timely closure of inspection observations.
Maintain updated statutory registers, records, certificates, and licenses; prepare monthly/quarterly Compliance MIS and status reports (completed, pending, upcoming renewals, non-compliances, corrective actions).
Identify statutory/regulatory risks, conduct periodic compliance reviews and internal audits, formulate corrective and preventive action plans, and track regulatory amendmentsZ
