This disheartening episode led to the establishment of a hospital focused on the health care of women and chi

ldren in the Nandesari industrial area of Vadodara and later evolved into the establishment of Deepak Foundation. True menstrual equity requires a complete lifecycle approach: Education, Access, and Infrastructure. Deepak Foundation is addressing period stigma and accessibility from every angle. Education shouldn't stop for a period. Beyond handing out individual hygiene packs, we have been establishing emergency supplies directly with school teachers to ensure no young girl ever has to miss a class due to a lack of resources.

In Kuchai, Jharkhand, supported by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) and local SHG Group, we took the ultimate step toward self-reliance by inaugurating a local sanitary pad production unit. This doesn't just guarantee affordable hygiene for the region—it creates sustainable livelihoods and financial independence for local women.

From awareness to manufacture, we are proving that when women and girls have access to menstrual dignity, entire communities thrive. Let's keep breaking boundaries together.

Marking the International Day for Biological Diversity, Gujarat’s Hon’ble Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Shri Arjunbhai Modhwadia, released a groundbreaking book: "Faunal Biodiversity of Vagra Taluka, Bharuch."
Published by the Deepak Foundation in partnership with Deepak Phenolics Limited, this study reveals an incredible ecological reality: 243 faunal species—including 15 on the IUCN Red List—are thriving right alongside one of the state's largest industrial zones!
As Minister Modhwadia highlighted, this is a shining example of balancing Vikas (Progress) with Virasat (Heritage). It provides the scientific baseline needed to protect our local ecosystems while driving economic growth.
Dr. Ruchi Mehta (Trustee, Deepak Foundation), Dr. Jai Pawar (Director), Shri Nirmal Singh Yadav, and Project Lead Shri Anil Kumar were also present.

Education is not just about classrooms—it is about collective reflection, continuous learning, and systemic transformation.

Manthan 2026–27: Reform and Systemic Change in Education brought together education project teams from Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana for a three-day residential workshop at the serene Art of Living Ashram, Vasad, Gujarat. The workshop became a vibrant platform for reflection, alignment, collaboration, and renewed commitment towards strengthening educational practices for the academic year 2026–27.

From reviewing the 2025–26 journey through collaborative Start–Stop–Continue activities, to aligning teams with future educational frameworks and introducing the foundational practitioner course, every session encouraged meaningful dialogue and strategic planning. The workshop concluded with a certified Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program facilitated by AURA, emphasizing emotional awareness, holistic learning, and human-centered education practices.

More than a workshop, Manthan 2026–27 became a shared space for collective growth, learning, and strengthening the vision for long-term educational reform and systemic change.
