Mission: Innovation @ Education
Most school and college education in India focus on remembering and understanding the concepts and facts though across the world, creativity and innovation are on the prime focus in education system.
Aiming to tune the child of today into an innovation force of tomorrow that could alter the course of India’s development and hence the future, VIC has started number of initiatives.
VIC team already trained 16000 school students in 45+ schools out of which 15 were municipal corporation schools through “Socho Hat Ke” and Tod-Fod-Jod.
Tod-Fod-Jod:
Tod-Fod-Jod (TFJ) is a hands-on learning - through self-discovery, where children will get to de-construct (Tod Fod) everyday products that children see and/or use. As they figure out how these products are designed and how they work, children connect multi-disciplinary concepts they learn in textbooks to real life applications. They draw inspiration from ideas and motivation from others. They may re-construct (Jod) these products, repair (Jod) them (which involves great deal of problem solving) or re-purpose (Jod) them to do create something completely different. TFJ is about “Tinkering” & “Experimentation” vital to unleash “Out of Box Ideas”, creativity and innovation.
