Well its indeed a nostalgic moment for me at the completion of 38 years in Financial consultancy & distribution business .
The journey of a self entrepreneur at a time when i could have continued profession of my academic qualifications, being Masters in Geology , was extremely a bold step but many of my friends, collegues, relations at that time ,thought it as an extremely suicidial step. It was a big challenge and i had to prove others wrong.. Down the line in hindsight, it was a self start with neither a financial backing nor an experience of financial consultancy & marketing. Indian economy was at nascent stage and financial literacy was confined to very few affluent elite people. Masses knew only fixed deposits, protection in form of insurance & gold and real estate.
What has helped me to tide over difficult moments of my profession has been some of the ordinary but very simple traits picked up from my father & my Guru Shri S. S kabra and also my innate but important ability of doing some basic research learnt from my being a geologist.
The most interesting part of this business is that one learn something new everyday . Health and wealth are two most important facets of every individuals life and the early you realise , more succesful and better person u become.
Planning is key to one's overall happiness. Time spent , patient listening, discipline and understanding of broad contours of macro and micro factors are some of the basics which influence roadmap for financial planning. The most guiding factor is trust, faith and integrity acquired through years of hard ,honest client centric approach. Relationship with your customers like any other business is vital and I have been preety lucky to have two way relations with most of them.
I take this opportunity to thank all my dear ones,my colleagues,my employees ,my associates and my seniors for inspiring me and thereby helping me to remain young at heart and open to learning lot many new technologies and ideas which make life beautiful and healthy.
