The seminar highlighted the immense opportunities available for MSMEs through the IPO route in terms of value creation, growth, visibility, liquidity, governance, and profitability. It was noted that out of around 290 SME IPOs listed in India during the last year, only 3 companies were from Andhra Pradesh, despite the state having strong entrepreneurial potential.
Speakers observed that more than 700 companies are presently listed on the NSE SME platform, creating an overall market value exceeding ₹2.5 lakh crore, demonstrating the tremendous potential of SME capital markets.
The event witnessed huge participation from AP Chambers members and emerging entrepreneurs, reflecting the growing interest among Andhra Pradesh MSMEs towards capital market-based growth and expansion.
Shri Kondapalli Srinivas, Hon’ble Minister for MSME, announced that the Government of Andhra Pradesh is planning to establish an MSME Exchange to facilitate MSMEs in accessing capital markets and pursuing IPOs at minimal cost, thereby encouraging more enterprises from the state to leverage equity-based growth opportunities.
NSE India Ltd. assured complete handholding support for aspiring SMEs through its dedicated coordination and guidance mechanism available in Andhra Pradesh. AP Chambers also informed its members that interested companies may connect with AP Chambers for facilitation and coordination with NSE and related experts to pursue the SME IPO route.
