In the backdrop of the paradigm shift taking place in the energy landscape, BPCL has welcomed the change in the form of Energy Transition, as an opportunity to explore, develop and ride new growth, built on top of the company’s core business. This metamorphosis will not only cater to the varied needs of the future economy but also contribute to national and global climate goals. To this end, we have set out to achieve Net Zero in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, by 2040 – an ambitious goal to combat climate change.

BPC has collaborated with EUREKA Platform of IIT-B, seeks ideas from individuals, Institutes /Academia, Startups, Organization of India engaged in the Energy Research for developing processes /products /services to participate in Energy Track competition by submitting their innovative ideas in the following nine categories -

1. Net Zero Mission (Green Hydrogen, CCUS, Energy Intensity Index etc.)
2. Advanced Battery Storage
3. Digitalization
4. Polymer & Petrochemicals
5. Energy Efficiency
6. Water Management
7. Innovative products / processes/ services
8. Circular Economy
9. Biofuels & Biochemicals

The top Innovators (1st, 2nd and 3rd) shall receive cash award of total Rs. 5 Lakh in each category and potential ideas may also be considered for sponsorship and collaborative research programs.
