Wandoor has its own historical important. The Malabar Religion including Wandoor was under the rule of the Mysoor emperors Haiderali & Tippu Sulthan for 16 years in between 1773 and 1792. The records kept in Calicut Collectrete archives show that Tippusulthan had donated many assets for Temples Mosques etc. Wandoor Elankoor Manjeri Road, Wandooor Thiruvali Edavanna Road, where constructed in Tippusulthans's ruling period. Wandoor People seem to have participated in Khilafath strike Agricultural strike and the like. The records of regional police station say that the Khilafath Congress leaders Kattilasseri Moulavi and M. Narayana Menon Spoke at wandoor old Juma Masjid venue in 21 August 1921. The record also shows that the British army had enforced Military action against striking peoples concentrating wandoor TB premises.
