The first ever Iraq Energy Expo and Conference, December 5th – 7th 2008 was a great success by all accounts, the fact that it was held in Baghdad says a lot about the security improvements in Iraq, the willingness of international oil and gas companies to be present in such a large number and the Iraqi ministry of oil extensive participation in the event from all parts of Iraq, all fifteen companies participated.
