Cihan Group Company is looking for a bright and aspiring Candidate for the following vacancy:
Position: Accountant
Hours: 8 Working Hours- 6 Days per week (Sat-Thu)
Location: Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq
Duties and responsibilities:
Receive payments from workshops, retail customers, and distributors.
Prepare a daily report summarizing all received payments and submit it to management.
Follow up with customers who have credit accounts, in coordination with the sales team.
Manage the petty cash fund, including recording expenses and submitting monthly summaries.
Request and collect quotations from at least three suppliers for any purchase to ensure competitive pricing.
Record all financial transactions accurately in the company system.
Maintain and update customer account files, including invoices, receipts, and outstanding balances.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to match physical stock movements with financial documents.
Assist in preparing monthly sales and collection reports for the lubricants division.
Support the finance manager in audit preparations and provide required documentation.
Monitor overdue invoices and send reminders to customers.
Process supplier payments after verification and approval.
Ensure all accounting activities follow company policies and internal controls.
Education, Job Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting (experience in lubricants, automotive, or FMCG is a plus).
Ability to prepare clear financial reports and communicate them professionally.
Basic communication skills in Kurdish, English, and Arabic.
Ability to write emails, prepare reports, and handle basic computer tasks.
Strong sense of responsibility, honesty, and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (AP, AR, cash handling, reconciliation).
