Position for Cargo Sales Executive – (GSA Qatar Airways Cargo) – Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Main purpose of the job:
To execute the commercial strategies for the port in order to surpass revenue targets and commercial Key Performance Indicators as well as providing fit for purpose solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Revenue Generation
Help to implement Cargo Business Plan in alignment with local cargo strategies and specified Key Performance Indicators
Support the Cargo Manager(s) and coordinate with the Cargo Sales and Reservations Officers to achieve revenue target and generate ancillary revenue
Assist the Cargo Manager(s) to negotiate and execute sales contracts as required
Help to generate revenue with the perspective of sales channels, product sales and offline sales development
Offer QR products and provide excellent and consistent product solutions to customers
Account Management and Sales Administration
Conduct regular reviews of accounts’ performance and seek additional revenue opportunities from each account
Coordinate with the Indoor Sales Team to provide customer-centric solutions to customers
Assist in setting the annual revenue budget and Cargo Business Plan as required
Manage the day-to-day relationship of client-servicing with customers to support revenue generation
Collect, analyze and report market conditions, trends and activities as requested
Provide superb sales and customer service in all customer touch points so as to drive premium selling rates and regular business
Implement programs on e-initiatives to drive pe*******on of e-Bookings and other Agent Self-Service functions
Any other reasonable task as requested
Partnerships and External Liaisons
Assist the Cargo Manager(s) to manage relationships with shippers, key industry and trade partners and associations so that the Company’s interests are well represented
Give recognition to, and earn the loyalty of our highest value customers, including Cargo Key Account members
Customer Service
Cargo reservations and bookings whilst providing exemplary customer service
Provide vendor notification for on time and delayed flights daily
Provide timely shipment status updates to customers
Help to manage GHA performance and provide guidelines and instructions
Support the established performance targets through operational oversight and participation
Administrative Support
Prepare flight Loading Plans to GHA
Coordinate cargo service activities between sales, operations and ground handling in order to ensure efficient handling of shipments
Communicate effectively via various channels stakeholders including customers, airport and cargo operations, suppliers, flight crew etc.
Assist with various administrative station tasks
Support station management in supplier oversight including reporting GHA performance issues
Any other reasonable task as requested
Safety, Security and Compliance
Help to ensure compliance and conformance to all regulatory and internal safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements
Undertake quality check programs established by Head Office and participate in meetings when required
Support Emergency and Accident role as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Academic qualifications
Bachelor degree
Knowledge, skills, training and experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in airline cargo sales, operations or customer service
Strong knowledge of airlines and international airfreight industry
Knowledge of Any Cargo System is an advantage
Strong communication and client management skills
Sensitive to confidential data and numbers
Proven success record in setting and achieving goals
Ability to work independently
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Systems
Strong track record of developing and leading the successful marketing and sales programs for an Airline Cargo business with a demonstrated record of success in building new revenue streams
Strong air cargo sales experience in overall business-to-business sales & marketing experience
Excellent communications skills (English is a must have)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills both short-term/tactical and long-term/strategic
Be a well-structured, highly professional individual who is results focused
Internationally orientated executive with excellent business acumen and is a savvy negotiator
Languages:
Kurdish, English, Arabic
