Innovating Agriculture for a Sustainable Future 🌾💡
We were honored to host Mr. Pascal André A. Reyntjens, Head of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Iraq, along with the Director of Agriculture of Thi Qar Governorate, during their visit to our barley fodder production unit in Al-Islah sub-district.
The visit was also attended by Mr. Haider Saadi, Advisor to the Governor for NGO Affairs, and Mr. Haider Jamal Al-Amri, Mayor (Qaim Maqam) of Al-Islah.
This project was implemented in partnership with IOM, reflecting our shared commitment to sustainable agriculture, innovation, and farmer support 🌱🤝.
The unit produces 2.5–3 tons of fresh barley fodder per week, contributing to climate-smart livestock feeding solutions and enhanced food security in the region 🐄🌿.

تشرفنا باستقبال السيد باسكال أندريه أ. رينتجينز، رئيس بعثة المنظمة الدولية للهجرة (IOM) في العراق، والسيد مدير زراعة محافظة ذي قار، خلال زيارتهم إلى وحدة استنبات علف الشعير في ناحية الإصلاح.
كما حضر الزيارة السيد حيدر سعدي، مستشار المحافظ لشؤون المنظمات، والسيد حيدر جمال العمري، قائم مقام الإصلاح.
تم تنفيذ المشروع بالشراكة مع IOM، تأكيداً لالتزامنا المشترك بدعم الزراعة المستدامة والابتكار وتمكين المزارعين 🌱🤝.
تبلغ الطاقة الإنتاجية للوحدة 2.5–3 طن أسبوعياً من علف الشعير الأخضر، مما يسهم في دعم الثروة الحيوانية وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي في المنطقة 🐄🌿.

🌱 Exciting update from **Thi Qar / Al-Islah**!

Our **trainers** have fully mastered **this barley fodder production system** and, in just **7 days**, successfully produced fresh, nutritious barley fodder for their livestock 🐑🐄.

**This system can produce 2.5–3 tons of fresh barley per week**, ensuring a sustainable and reliable feed source.

This hands-on experience equips trainers to effectively guide farmers, promote modern agricultural practices, and support food security in the region.


🌱 **ذي قار / قضاء الإصلاح**!

تمكن **المدربون** من إتقان **هذا النظام لإنتاج علف الشعير**، وفي **٧ أيام فقط** تم إنتاج **علف شعير طازج ومغذي لمواشيهم** 🐑🐄.

**هذا النظام يمكنه إنتاج ٢.٥ – ٣ طن من العلف الطازج أسبوعياً**، مما يضمن مصدر علف مستدام وموثوق للمزارعين.

هذه الخبرة العملية تضمن قدرة المدربين على توجيه المزارعين بفعالية، وتعزيز الزراعة الحديثة، ودعم الأمن الغذائي في المنطقة.

🌱 Following the **completion of the barley fodder unit installation** in **Thi Qar / Al-Islah**, in partnership with the **International Organization for Migration (IOM)**, the **theoretical and practical training for farmers has been successfully completed**.

🎓 The training covered both the concepts and hands-on operation of the system, equipping participants to efficiently produce fresh, nutritious barley fodder for livestock 🐑🐄 and promote modern agricultural practices in the region.



🌱 بعد إكمال **تنصيب وحدة استنبات الشعير** في **ذي قار / قضاء الإصلاح** بالتعاون مع **منظمة الهجرة الدولية (IOM)**، تم **الانتهاء من التدريب النظري والعملي للمزارعين بنجاح**.

🎓 غطى التدريب الجوانب النظرية والعملية لتشغيل النظام بكفاءة، وتمكين المشاركين من إنتاج **علف شعير طازج ومغذي للمواشي** 🐑🐄، وتعزيز الزراعة الحديثة في المنطقة.

🌱 Empowering communities through smart agricultural solutions! 🌱

IRADA for Agricultural Development held a training session in Diyala – Al-Azeem District on Hydroponic Barley Fodder Home Units, where participants gained practical skills to grow high-quality green fodder using minimal water and space. 💧🌾

This initiative is part of our commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and improving livelihoods in rural areas.

🙏 Special thanks to IOM – The UN Migration Agency for their continued support, which made this training possible.



🌱 نعمل على تمكين المجتمعات من خلال حلول الزراعة الذكية! 🌱

نفذت شركة إرادة للتنمية الزراعية جلسة تدريبية في ديالى – قضاء العظيم حول وحدة استنبات علف الشعير بالزراعة المائية (الهيدروبونيك) للاستخدام المنزلي، حيث تم تزويد المشاركين بالمعرفة والمهارات اللازمة لإنتاج علف أخضر عالي الجودة باستخدام كميات قليلة من الماء وبمساحة محدودة. 💧🌾

يأتي هذا التدريب ضمن جهود الشركة في دعم الزراعة المستدامة وتحسين سبل العيش في المناطق الريفية.

🌿 ورشة تدريبية في ديالى – العظيم حول التغير المناخي والمنظومات الحديثة في الزراعة 🌱

نظّمت IRADA ورشة تدريبية لمجموعة من الفلاحين والفلاحات في قضاء الخالص بمحافظة ديالى، تناولت موضوع التغير المناخي والمنظومات الحديثة في الزراعة، مع التركيز على تقنيات الأكوابونك واستنبات علف الشعير كحلول مستدامة لمواجهة التحديات البيئية وزيادة الإنتاجية الزراعية.

IRADA organized a training workshop for a group of farmers in Al-Khalis, Diyala Governorate, focusing on Climate Change and Modern Agricultural Systems, with a special emphasis on Aquaponics and Hydroponic Barley Fodder as sustainable solutions to address environmental challenges and enhance agricultural productivity.
