“Alleggeriamo le nostre bottiglie: un peso minore sul pianeta, un passo in avanti per la sostenibilità del vino”, questa la “Call to Action” lanciata da e Slow Wine alla Slow Wine Fair 2025.
Noi ci siamo portati avanti, ed oltre ad alleggerire il peso del vetro, lo abbiamo proprio tolto grazie alla Frugal bottle di Frugalpac ed alla nostra linea di prodotti NO GLASS:
- 5x più leggera del vetro (82gr)
- cartone 100% riciclabile
- sicura per essere consumata ovunque, in spiaggia, nei parchi e nei grandi eventi dove il vetro non può entrare per la sicurezza dei partecipanti.
Vediamo se anche il mercato italiano sarà maturo da capire che il vetro è solo un imballo, e che per talune tipologie di prodotti che non necessitano di invecchiamento, non è più l'unica soluzione.
Il problema che permane sono i disciplinari delle DOC e DOCG, troppo restrittivi rispetto al contenitore ed al tappo che limitano fortemente le possibilità per i produttori.

“Let's lighten our bottles: a smaller burden on the planet, a step forward for the sustainability of wine”, this is the “Call to Action” launched by Slow Food Italia and Slow Wine at the Slow Wine Fair 2025.
We have moved forward, and in addition to lightening the weight of glass, we have actually removed it thanks to the Frugal bottle by Frugalpac and our NO GLASS product line:
- 5x lighter than glass (82gr)
- 100% recyclable cardboard
- safe to be consumed anywhere, on the beach, in parks and at large events where glass cannot enter for the safety of participants.
Let's see if the Italian market will also be mature enough to understand that glass is just packaging, and that for certain types of products that do not require aging, it is no longer the only solution.
The problem that remains is the specifications of the DOC and DOCG, which are too restrictive with respect to the container and the cap which severely limit the possibilities for producers.
