As promised the demonstration video on the AKG D12 that arrived NOT working at all with voice coil interrupted…

Another perfectly done rescuing of the AKG D12 voice coil.
Arrived with both leads of the voice coil cut and too short to be soldered back.
So voice coil has been detached from the diaphragm and both wires rescued.
Then voice coil re attached perfectly under the diaphragm and voilà mic is. Is sounding brand new!
A demonstrating video about the sound will follow sooon!
If you have a broken and NOT sounding at all mic do not leave it in the drawer and send it over!

For sale this AKG D19C.
It is a 60 ohm version which translates with a -6db in comparison to the 200ohm version.
Completely serviced and sounding up to specs.
Bass roll off not engageable as it arrived already with the little screw missing on the bass roll off ring.
But minor issue as you want to use it with all the bass response possible ;)

Here is an extremely rare ribbon microphone dated early ‘50.
Needed a new healthy ribbon and now sounding really nice. Warm, deep but yet clear with nice highs.
Ready to come back to its owner after changing also the Philips connector which allowed different impedances. I used a male big Tuchel which fitted perfectly and that features an hole for screwing it in exactly like the Philips one.
Impedance set to 200 ohm..

Another voice coil rescuing for this AKG D19C.
Arrived NOT sounding at all due to interrupted voice coil.
Work done perfectly and mic sounding up to specs.

AKG D19C

Arrived completely not sounding due to interrupted voice coil. So broken wire rescued and never known any other that does this work so I am pretty proud of it!
Not only that. Capsule magnet off axis.
I will be keeping saying that to service the AKG D family a profound knowledge is foundamental.
In the video mic is placed like in the picture and still shows an awesome bass response.
