📢In Italy, four varieties from the Fondazione Edmund Mach have been added to the national variety list. In Trentino, the VEVIR project is researching the potential of seven varieties (Nermantis, Termantis, Valnosia, Charvir, Solaris, Souvignier Gris and Pinot Regina). Four of these (Termantis, Nermantis, Charvir, Valnosia, above) have emerged from the Fondazione Edmund Mach’s genetic improvement programme.

🍇Termantis

✔️Crossing Teroldego X Merzling
✔️Breeder: Fondazione E. Mach
✔️Suitable for producing red wines.
✔️Maturation: beginning of September (at San Michele all'Adige, I), suitable for aging.
✔️Notes of violets and red fruits. Malvidin level at 3,5; diglucoside level within the normal range.
✔️Resistance to Peronospora and Oidium (depending on the year, treatments during the growing season are recommended).
