In Câlin, designed by Alessandro Corina for Mandelli1953, the lever wraps around the handle’s cylindrical body, evoking the gesture of an embrace.

An interplay of forms that gives the design its distinctive character and brings a sense of closeness to an object we use every day.

Design and craftsmanship: the panel discussion that turned Mandelli1953’s headquarters into a hub of ideas! Here’s how it went.

For Cantù’s Festival del Legno, we opened our doors for a discussion on the relationship between design and manufacturing in furniture and product design: a process based on the continuous exchange of know-how between designer, artisan and industry.

Giorgio Tartaro moderated the discussion, sparking reflections from architects Paolo Brambilla, Carlo Donati and Nicolò Spinelli. Event curated by Silvia Monaco.
