How I Select the Right Yacht
One of the questions I am often asked is: Which is the best yacht?
My answer is always the same: the best yacht is the one that is right for the guests and the experience they wish to enjoy.

Before recommending an option, I take the time to understand who will be travelling and what they expect from their time at sea.

I consider the composition of the group. Is it a couple, a family with children, a group of friends or several generations travelling together?
I look at the duration of the experience, whether it is a private day excursion, a transfer or a multi-night cruise.
The destination and itinerary are equally important. Each route has different requirements, and the yacht must be suitable for the distances, sea conditions and planned activities.
I also evaluate the spaces and level of comfort the guests need—privacy, cabins, shaded outdoor areas, dining spaces and room to relax.

But choosing the right yacht is not only about the vessel itself.
The crew, their professionalism and the standard of service on board can completely transform the experience. A beautiful yacht without the right people behind it is simply not enough.
My role is to bring all these elements together and recommend the yacht that genuinely fits the client—not simply the largest or most expensive one.

Managing the weather at sea means much more than simply checking a forecast.

Conditions can evolve throughout the day, and every decision requires careful evaluation, local knowledge and constant communication between our team, the captain and the guests.
Before departure, we assess the latest information and consider the planned route, sea conditions and the comfort of everyone on board. If a change is advisable, we explain it clearly and propose the most suitable alternatives.

This may mean adjusting the departure time, changing the itinerary or choosing a different destination where the experience can be enjoyed more comfortably.
For us, changing plans does not mean compromising the day. It means using our experience to protect it.

The sea changes throughout the day. Weather and wind conditions evolve, ports become busier and even the most beautiful bay can offer a completely different experience depending on the time of arrival.
Knowing the sea means choosing the best departure time, anticipating changing conditions and selecting the most suitable port or landing point.

Sometimes it means suggesting a lesser-known bay instead of a crowded destination. At other times, it means changing the route to offer calmer waters, greater privacy or a more relaxed lunch ashore.
Every decision should reflect the guests themselves: whether they wish to swim in a secluded cove, explore Positano’s charming narrow streets, enjoy lunch overlooking the sea or simply spend an unhurried day on board.
