Nocchianello Spiga di Grano is a rare native grape variety deeply linked to the agricultural memory of Pitigliano, in the heart of Tuscany.
Its history has its roots in the peasant tradition of the tuff hills, where it was grown in small family plots, often intended for self-consumption or local micro-productions.
The name “Ear of Wheat” recalls the shape of the cluster, compact and elongated, which resembles a mature ear.
From an agronomic point of view, it is a rustic and adaptable grape variety, capable of withstanding difficult conditions and poor soils, while maintaining good acidity and surprising aromatic integrity.
