The first Italian classic method of sparkling wine was created in Piedmont. Way back at the beginning of the 19th century, the counts of Sambuy, influenced by their geographic and cultural proximity to France and its wines, began cultivating a few French grape varieties – primarily Pinot Noir – in Piedmont, to make sparkling wines similar to Champagne.

Our winery started to produce Alta Langa DOCG from 2014 with 80% Pinot Noirs 20% Chardonnay aging for 2 months in barrique and a special liquor (cognac).

Barbera d'Asti has a rich history marked by redemption and evolution. It has transitioned from being a "people's" wine to a highly sought-after and popular choice among connoisseurs worldwide. Today, it stands as a pure expression of Piedmont wine and can rival the renowned reds of the region.

Barbera d'Asti embodies the essence of a versatile wine that complements an entire meal. It pairs exceptionally well with stuffed pasta dishes, red meats, grilled meats, and medium-aged cheeses. In its aged form, it becomes a splendid companion for game meats, long-aged cured meats, and pungent blue cheeses.

This wine is particularly well-suited for risottos and traditional Piedmontese specialties such as braised meat, boiled meat, and bagna cauda.
