I piatti si fanno un po' più saporiti, tornano i risotti, i formaggi stagionati e quei pranzi che annunciano l’avvicinarsi dell’autunno.

Molto prima che il Castello dei Marchesi Alfieri assumesse la sua forma attuale, il nome Alfieri faceva già parte della storia di Asti.

Nel XIII secolo, tra le casate che contribuirono a plasmare l’Asti medievale in cui nacque la tradizione del Palio, figuravano già gli Alfieri, ancora oggi rappresentati nel corteo storico che precede la corsa.

Il Palio di Asti e Marchesi Alfieri condividono così qualcosa di più di un territorio: appartengono alla stessa storia astigiana e piemontese, tramandata nei secoli e ancora viva ogni settembre.

Long before the Marchesi Alfieri Castle took on its present form, the Alfieri name was already part of Asti’s history.

In the 13th century, the Alfieri were among the noble families that helped shape medieval Asti—the city where the Palio tradition was born. Today, they are still represented in the historical parade that precedes the race.

The Palio di Asti and Marchesi Alfieri share more than a territory: they belong to the same Asti and Piedmontese history, passed down through the centuries and still alive every September.

Qui il tempo non è fermo, ma si assapora ogni secondo.

Tra i giardini del castello, i vigneti e i freschi corridoi della cantina; tra lunghe tavolate senza fretta, un piatto piemontese e calici di vino al tramonto.

Perché a Marchesi Alfieri il passato non è solo storia. È parte del presente.

La tenuta è stata per secoli luogo di villeggiatura e di incontro per la nobiltà italiana. La quiete del Piemonte, la sua tavola generosa e i suoi vini hanno attirato ospiti illustri per generazioni.

Da qui la bellezza dei suoi giardini, progettati nel 1815 da Xavier Kurten su incarico del marchese Carlo Emanuele Alfieri, pensati appositamente per accogliere gli ospiti, invitare alla passeggiata e lasciare un’impressione duratura.

Ancora oggi, la stessa idea di ospitalità ed eleganza si ritrova in ogni dettaglio delle camere, in ogni calice condiviso al tramonto, accarezzato dalla brezza leggera che arriva dai vigneti.

For centuries, the estate was a summer retreat and gathering place for the Italian nobility. The tranquillity of Piedmont, its generous table and its w**es attracted distinguished guests for generations.

This is reflected in the beauty of its gardens, designed in 1815 by Xavier Kurten at the request of Marquis Carlo Emanuele Alfieri. They were conceived specifically to welcome guests, invite leisurely strolls and leave a lasting impression.

Even today, the same sense of hospitality and elegance can be found in every detail of the rooms and in every glass shared at sunset, caressed by the gentle breeze drifting in from the vineyards.
