The amount of energy required for the gypsum waste recovery process depends on several factors, including the treatment capacity of the recycling plant, the energy efficiency of the equipment used and the moisture content of the gypsum to be recycled.

In general, it can be said that the treatment of gypsum waste recovery still requires less energy than the extraction and production of virgin gypsum from quarries.

Energy studies on the recycling of gypsum waste have shown that the process may require a reduced amount of energy of between 3 and 10 MJ/kg recycled gypsum.

In addition, it should be borne in mind that the recovery of gypsum-based waste can offer a significant environmental advantage. Recycling reduces the need to extract new natural resources and reduces the amount of waste going to landfills, contributing to more sustainable material management.

We at Eco Avant-Garde srl market the gypsum waste recovery plant "ECO GYPSUM 64", technologically advanced, with low energy consumption and reduced environmental impacts resulting in a high quality recycled gypsum with characteristics similar to virgin gypsum from quarries.

If the photovoltaic panels are not recycled correctly, several negative consequences may occur.

Photovoltaic panels contain materials that can be harmful to the environment if disposed of improperly. Some types of photovoltaic panels contain harmful substances such as lead, cadmium and selenium. If panels are sent to landfills or burned, these substances can contaminate soil, groundwater and air, contributing to environmental pollution.

If the materials contained in the disused photovoltaic panels are recovered, any environmental damage is avoided and at the same time an important economic opportunity is created resulting from the reuse of valuable materials such as silicon, glass and aluminium which have excellent economic value by creating new job opportunities in the field of recycling and waste management. Not recycling photovoltaic panels means losing these economic opportunities.

In most countries there are regulations and regulations that require the proper disposal and recycling of photovoltaic panels. Failure to comply with these rules may result in penalties and legal consequences for operators in the sector.

Eco Avant-Garde srl offers its services for the recovery and supply of photovoltaic WEEE materials and for their transfer to authorized, highly specialized plants, where they can be recycled and reused in the production cycle.

Secondary solid fuel (SSF) is a type of fuel derived from the processing of non-hazardous municipal and special waste and is normally used in several areas, including:

Energy production: SSF can be used as an alternative fuel in thermal power plants, partially or completely replacing traditional fossil fuels. It can be burned to generate thermal and electrical energy.
Industrial processes: SSF can be used as a fuel in industrial processes that require heat, such as cement, ceramic, glass and steel production. Its use helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels and limit CO2 emissions.
Cogeneration: SSF can be used in cogeneration plants, where it is used for both thermal and electrical energy production. This allows to maximize energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
Urban heating: SSF can be used for urban heating, supplying thermal power plants that provide heat to district heating networks. This system is particularly widespread in many European cities and contributes to the transition to more sustainable energy sources.
Waste treatment processes: SSF can be used as a fuel for the incineration of municipal solid waste. This process makes it possible to convert waste into usable thermal energy, reducing the volume of waste and limiting the use of landfills.

The use of SSF as an alternative fuel contributes to the reduction of the use of fossil fuels, the sustainable management of waste and the mitigation of environmental impact. However, it is important to ensure that SSF is produced and subsequently retrieved correctly, in compliance with regulations and quality criteria, in order to ensure the safety and sustainability of its applications.

Our company can assign SSF, deriving from municipal and/or industrial waste to authorised processing plants throughout Europe, where it will be recovered in full compliance with European environmental standards.

If you are looking for SSF for your recovery plant or if you need to provide it, please contact Eco Avant-Garde srl!

An interesting feature about WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) is that they contain a wide range of valuable and potentially recyclable materials. These materials may include gold, silver, copper, palladium, and other precious metals.

Even photovoltaic panels, although they consist mainly of silicon, may contain precious materials such as silver or indium, used as conductors.

In addition to precious metals, electrical and electronic equipment also contains other recoverable resources. For example, many batteries in electronic devices contain metals such as lithium, cobalt and nickel, which can be extracted and reused for the production of new batteries.

The correct recycling of WEEE not only makes it possible to recover these precious materials, but also contributes to reducing the environmental impact resulting from the extraction of new resources. Furthermore, the recycling of WEEE helps to avoid the dispersion of harmful substances present in these devices, such as mercury, lead and cadmium, which can damage the environment if improperly disposed of.

Eco Avant-Garde srl actively contributes to the recycling of photovoltaic WEEE, taking care of their recovery and management until they are transferred to specialized and authorized plants.

ECO GYPSUM 64 is the gypsum waste recycling plant sold exclusively worldwide by Eco Avant-Garde srl. It is an innovative technological process that, by adding a mechanical action of crushing to a subsequent double dry compression, separates the plaster and the paper from the plasterboard coming from demolition, restructuring and scrap processing, fully recovering both materials.

The recovered gypsum powder is of high quality, practically free from paper and reusable in new production cycles.
The gypsum by-product can be reused:

• for the production of new plasterboard;
• as a retardant in cement production;
• in agriculture to improve, condition and fertilise land;
• as absorbent filler for oils/ fats;
• in stabilizing road surfaces instead of hydrated lime.

ECO GYPSUM 64 is designed to minimize environmental and occupational safety impacts. The entire process is completely isolated from the surrounding environment, equipped with a dust extraction and filtering system and access with safety and locking alarms.

Mineral wool is recovered in our plant in Germany through several stages of processing, applying an innovative technology (patented), able to modify the working processes of the entire recycling industry affected by the problem of dust.

It begins with a pre-shredding phase of the rock wool which is then sent into an air flow material separator for the separation of foreign contaminants (nails, dowels, screws, plastics, plaster residues, polystyrene, etc.).
The pre-cleaned insulating wool sections are then sent via conveyor belts onto a metal detector and into the processing unit.
In this unit, the insulating wool shreds are shredded and, using tribo electric charge technology, all (or almost all) fine dust particles are electrostatically incorporated into macro-spheres fibers, the size of a pinhead.
In the fiber vortex process, the microparticles are further clamped, so as to create a practically indissoluble bond.

The processing of rock wool fibers in our plant allows you to recover a difficult waste, effectively, offering a new life to the insulating material.
It is important to underline that, as with any recycling process, the recovery of mineral wool requires a correct management of the waste and the infrastructure used for its processing.
This implies the need to review and make the collection, recovery and specialised recycling facilities more effective.

Eco Avant-Garde srl offers, for this purpose, to all interested operators, the opportunity to know this type of plant and to evaluate the economic viability of facing the related investment.

The recycling of photovoltaic WEEE materials brings numerous advantages for both the environment and the economy.

The process of recycling photovoltaic WEEE materials requires less energy compared to producing new materials. This way, it's possible to reduce the amount of energy used and the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced.

Furthermore, electrical and electronic equipment contains precious materials such as gold, silver, copper, and platinum. Recovering these materials can help to reduce dependence on extracting new mining resources.

Lastly, recycling photovoltaic WEEE materials can prevent environmental contamination and the spread of hazardous substances, such as lead, mercury and volatile organic compounds found in some electrical and electronic equipment.

In conclusion, recycling photovoltaic WEEE materials represents an extremely important opportunity for reducing environmental impact and increasing economic sustainability.

Eco Avant-Garde srl actively contributes to the recycling of photovoltaic WEEE materials by managing their recovery and disposal until they are delivered to authorized and specialized facilities.
