Mineral wool is recovered in our plant in Germany through several stages of processing, applying an innovative technology (patented), able to modify the working processes of the entire recycling industry affected by the problem of dust.
It begins with a pre-shredding phase of the rock wool which is then sent into an air flow material separator for the separation of foreign contaminants (nails, dowels, screws, plastics, plaster residues, polystyrene, etc.).
The pre-cleaned insulating wool sections are then sent via conveyor belts onto a metal detector and into the processing unit.
In this unit, the insulating wool shreds are shredded and, using tribo electric charge technology, all (or almost all) fine dust particles are electrostatically incorporated into macro-spheres fibers, the size of a pinhead.
In the fiber vortex process, the microparticles are further clamped, so as to create a practically indissoluble bond.
The processing of rock wool fibers in our plant allows you to recover a difficult waste, effectively, offering a new life to the insulating material.
It is important to underline that, as with any recycling process, the recovery of mineral wool requires a correct management of the waste and the infrastructure used for its processing.
This implies the need to review and make the collection, recovery and specialised recycling facilities more effective.
Eco Avant-Garde srl offers, for this purpose, to all interested operators, the opportunity to know this type of plant and to evaluate the economic viability of facing the related investment.
