Manufactured in 1968. Replaced in 2026.
Franklin Electric's legacy is grounded in submersible motors, and it's easy to see why. This working motor and pump end removed from a residence in Pennsylvania earlier this year are estimated to be almost 60 years old.
When a wire in the well broke, Tyler Pump and Well in Honesdale, PA, took time to inspect the pump. What they found was that despite a crack and its decades of service, the pump was still providing pressure. However, due to its age, the team deemed it best to replace it.
Thank you to the team at Tyler Pump & Well and Franklin Electric Field Service Engineer, Josh Arnold, for passing along this story.
