Selcom Srl - Multiaxial Fabrics Technology

Selcom Srl - Multiaxial Fabrics Technology Multiaxial Fabrics Producer Selcom has extensive experience in the traditional textile industry. Multiaxial fabrics technology was little known at that time.

Selcom have been manufacturing MULTIAXIAL REINFORCEMENTS (also known as Non Crimp Fabrics - NCF) using high performance fibres such as glass, carbon, aramid, PVA, and polyethylene since 1992. In 1991, the company started to focus its activity on the high-performance technical fabrics market, with composite reinforcements, which offered great chances for growth. In 1992 the first multiaxial machine

for the production of NCF (Non Crimp Fabric) was installed. It had been under development since the 80s to supply the aerospace industry. Selcom has grown considerably year after year. SELCOM monitors with software, documentation and personnel the entire production process, from raw material procurement to production of the article, from the labeling of the rolls until the arrival of the material at its destination. There is always a constant and careful monitoring to ensure to our customers an optimum product. The production of Selcom high performance multiaxial fabrics takes place in air-conditioned buildings, with dust removal systems from the floor to ensure the perfect conditions for processing the fibres and to create a healthy and comfortable atmosphere for the building occupants and operators. There is a large warehouse equipped with controlled atmosphere for long-term storage of raw materials and finished products. Selcom always invest in latest technology buying new plant and updating the existing ones, to improve product quality and manufacture the most innovative fabrics that the market requires. Our skilled operators use the wealth of their experience to guarantee that our products have that special quality which is recognised everywhere. Selcom is a leader in Italy in producing multiaxial (dry) technical fabrics. Selcom supply a wide range of markets including marine, transports, sports, wind energy, civil engineering, ballistics, protective helmets, offshore, defence/aerospace etc. The SELCOM team works closely with engineers, designers and technicians to develop new technical solutions to satisfy even the most sophisticated and advanced of requests, offering all their technical know-how that they have built up over the years and with the possibility of developing new multiaxial fabrics using any kind of high-performance fibre available on the market (always of the best quality). We are continually investing in the development of innovative composite solutions, which support our customer’s needs for reliability coupled with opportunities for cost reduction. The business idea is to offer our customers high quality and efficiency at the best price, quality means not just to ensure that the products satisfy customer expectations is also to assume the responsibilities of the effect that our business has on the environment, is a prerequisite for growth and profitability constant.
