Since 1922 Rimorchiatori Riuniti has been operating tugboats, those small powerfull orange vessels constantly steering through the waters of the commercial harbour of Genoa, including new oil and containers terminals. Essential to the harbour’s activity, the tugboats not only put in and moor the arriving ships and es**rt them out to the open sea, no matter what weather conditions are, but also the

y watch over the harbour, assisting in case of fire, oil spilling and whatever occurence might endanger the safety of ships. From Genoa Rimorchiatori Riuniti has spread its fleet to other Italian and International ports, specializing worldwide in other activities such as the assistance to oil platforms, the control of oil pollution, the deep-sea towages of ships and any kind of floating crafts.

Nemeca Z delivers a new tugboat tug dias z inaugurated. Virtually six months after the ASD Tugboat IRAKLIS Z was introduced to the fleet, NEMECA Z delivered again on its €32 million investment commitment as the Company inaugurated the newly built 75 tonnes bollard pull harbour tug – DIAS Z. The Robert Allan RA2500W design vessel has been built and delivered by Med Marine Shipyard located in Eregli on the Black Sea in Turkey.

This latest addition continues to modernise the NEMECA’s fleet configuration in terms of type, tug power and capacity as to better meet the local shipping industry’s towage requirements and at the same time being consonant with the Flag, Class and ISO requirements. NEMECA will be operating an increasingly modern fleet that offers an excellent seakeeping behaviour as well as the required manoeuvrability that befits the Greek ports, terminals and the shipping industry at large.
