🆕 Two study visits to the ports of Livorno and Athens brought together 35 professionals from the partner countries of the 2021–2027 Erasmus+ project “Empower Next Port Professionals with Innovative Skills through XR Immersive Training Programs,” of which we are a partner, led by the Port System Authority of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea

🎯 During the two port visits, participants explored the technical aspects of the energy transition, the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies to port operations, traffic flow planning, and port security. They tested immersive training solutions using extended and virtual reality and developed soft skills such as leadership in crisis situations, a particularly relevant topic in global logistics

📌 The mobilities started with the first group of 12 port workers 👷‍♀️👷 involved in the NeXTrain.Ports project, co-financed by the program, of which the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port System Authority is the lead partner

🎯 The Port of Venice 🏗️ hosted the group for 4 days of training activities, meetings, and discussions on sustainability and energy transition applied to the port context, with analysis of concrete cases and solutions adopted in the Adriatic sea port

🆕 The innovative use of XR technologies and immersive simulators 🆒 allowed participants to enjoy realistic and interactive experiences
