Persistence. This word is the most important keyword while fronting every aspect of your life. Erika Fay Nicole, founder & CEO of knows it very well.
During her recent speech at , she declared: “When I was in your position, I wanted to be a diplomat, so I went to study International Relations at one of the most important schools for diplomacy in Italy. My dream was to tell the world of the Italian excellence, to teach others about Italian culture, and to speak about Italy.”
But then she started to question if being a diplomat was still her dream job, her confidence about the future started to crumble, and she got the all too familiar feeling, that we are sure many of you have also had at some point or another. “What am I doing with my life?” If you have not had this sensation yet, it’s very likely that at some point in your life you will. When it comes, just remember that it’s not a sign of failure, but rather an emblem of success, as it means you are getting to know yourself more. Living is a verb that implies action. Life is waiting for you to take action, to exercise your free will, to choose your path, to live life as you have always wanted to live it. And so if life is a blank canvas ready to be painted, then it doesn't matter if you don't have a clear talent, but rather feel that you have a multitude of talents within you just waiting to be expressed.
Erika as a young entrepreneur thought: “If my path has never been traveled by others before me, it means I can do anything I set my mind to, putting myself out there without fear, building a path for myself that makes me happy. I realized that I had to start somewhere, and perfect doesn’t exist.”
Having the opportunity to partecipate to the second edition of TIYES Seminars at IULM University was a great chance of speak up and an inspiring day to all who came. So thanks to Victor and to all the IULM team who invited EFNcommunication and Erika to tell our story.
