Cari amici,

el profesor y diseñador Francesco Faccin regresa en Lima para brindar una imperdible conferencia magistral.

Studio Francesco Faccin es uno de los diseñadores más activos en la escena contemporánea de Milán y en la conferencia 'El diseño italiano entre artesanía e industria', nos invita a reflexionar sobre el principio inspirador de los objetos de diseño: nos guiará a través del proceso de diseño desde las necesidades hasta las soluciones, entre artesanía y arte, tradición e innovación.

Este encuentro se enmarca en el proyecto 'Un joven de cien años. Innovar la tradición en la huella del diseño italiano', para celebrar el centenario de la Trienal de Milán, un proyecto curado por la arquitecta Elisa Giusti y en colaboración con Facultad de Diseño Interior UPC de la UPC-Universidad Peruana De Ciencias Aplicadas.

Many thanks Icon Design for this nice review about my project "Anonimo Contemporaneo" for Giustini / Stagetti Roma!! .

The collection is dedicated to the anonymous and folk italian traditional chair, known as “Romanella” in the Rome area, where the project was conceived. This chair represents a kind of object that have always existed, declined in a multitude of different versions, to become an open source archetype owned by no one and therefore belonging to everyone. The project was born with the aim of working on a starting subject by varying its characteristics like material and sections, without changing the original main idea. Showing that it is possible to tell a single story for infinite times, without ever repeating the same one.

Lavazza The Global Goals United Nations La La Triennale di Milano

On the 2018 Lavazza calendar, he is 1 of 17 “cultural heroes” chosen by the coffee giant to represent the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals for a better world. Faccin’s urban beehive is a small project with big potential, and exemplifies positive thinking applied to design.
