Sessanea® is located the heart of the Langa Astigiana hills, continuing an ancient family tradition. Founded in the 1950s, the vinery, which was enlarged and completely restored in the early 2000s, produces wines appreciated by famous sommeliers and food and wine critics (from Giuseppe Vaccarini to Adua Villa to Paolo Massobrio) and a selected Italian and I
nternational public. Sessanea® is also an accredited supplier of very famous School founded by the Magazine La Cucina Italiana (Conde Nast Publishing Group). Aiming to produce high quality wines, Sessanea® combines in a successful way tradition and innovation. The cultivation process is totally organic and the wine making process is completely controlled by the most modern machinery: an artisan winery which adopts innovative procedures for making wines to be loved and remembered. In its vineyards are cultivated Barbera D’Asti, Nebbiolo, Moscato d’Asti, Chardonnay grapes. Sessanea® wines are a direct expressions of a territory – Piedmont - that as few offers a great oenological potential. Wines that offer complex nuances, both to the nose and to the palate; bottles, those of Sessanea, really able to excite for for olfactory and tasteful characteristics. Sessanea® mainly produces Barbera d'Asti DOCG and Barbera d’Asti Superiore, Moscato d'Asti DOCG, Moscato d'Asti DOCG Vendemmia Tardiva (Late Harvest), Monferrato Rosso DOC obtained from a blend (50%) of Barbera and Nebbiolo grapes , Chardonnay DOC.
