sete di informazioni e di ogni forma di nuova conoscenza.
4. Il rispetto porta frutti. In agricoltura il rispetto è linfa per la pianta. Il rispetto dei cicli naturali, il rispetto delle risorse, il rispetto per l’uomo che cura la pianta. Il rispetto è alla base della vita.
5. L’Affidabilità è unione. Mi piace pensare che chi lavora con me creda nella mia professionalità ma mi piace ancor più pensare che potrà sempre contare su di me perché insieme raggiungeremo dei risultati. Upgrape - The Manifesto

5. Reliability is union. I like to think that those who work with me believe in my professionalism but I like even more to think that they can always count on me because together we will achieve results.

Nelle prime fasi vegetative, la vite sostiene la crescita iniziale soprattutto grazie alle riserve accumulate nel legno e nelle radici.

Intervenire troppo presto con la concimazione può ridurre l’efficacia dell’intervento e aumentare il rischio di perdite.

Prima di concimare, bisogna guardare il suolo: struttura, ossigenazione, porosità e umidità sono condizioni fondamentali per permettere alla radice di assorbire davvero.

La concimazione ha valore solo quando la pianta è pronta a utilizzarla.

In the early vegetative stages, the vine mainly supports its initial growth through the reserves stored in the wood and roots.

Fertilizing too early can reduce the effectiveness of the application and increase the risk of nutrient losses.

Before fertilizing, it is important to look at the soil: structure, oxygenation, porosity, and moisture are key conditions that allow the root system to truly absorb nutrients.

Fertilization is effective only when the plant is ready to use it.

L’anno scorso lo abbiamo visto chiaramente: troppi grappoli non significano uva migliore.

Oggi nei vigneti la situazione è simile: fertilità elevata, tanto potenziale ma anche rischio di eccesso produttivo.

👉 Il punto è uno: la qualità non si costruisce dopo. Si imposta all’inizio.

Selezione dei germogli, equilibrio della pianta, gestione precoce del carico: è qui che si fa la differenza.

Aspettare il diradamento finale?
Significa arrivare tardi, spendere di più e lavorare peggio.

📌 In annate come questa il carico produttivo si gestisce subito, non si recupera dopo.

Last year we saw it clearly: too many bunches doesn't mean better grapes.

The situation in the vineyards today is similar: high fertility, plenty of potential, but also the risk of overproduction.

👉 The point is this: quality isn't built later. It's set at the beginning.

Shoot selection, plant balance, early load management: this is where the difference is made.

Waiting for the final thinning?
It means arriving late, spending more, and working less.

📌 In years like this, the production load is managed immediately, not recovered later.

📌 Primo discount: Red Globe sfusa a 2,49€. Assente l’uva siciliana IGP allo stesso prezzo da cartellino. Senza semi a 1,99€ nelle varietà Autumncrisp bianca e mix Autumncrisp/Scarlotta di qualità non soddisfacente.

📌 Secondo punto vendita: prezzi più alti e assortimento minimo (solo 2 referenze), Autumncrisp senza semi a 4,40€, Uva Italia con semi a 2,98€ non in buone condizioni.

📌 Terzo discount: solo varietà senza semi da 500gr, 800gr e rinfusa.

UpGrape GDO 🍇 Focus on the late-November table grape market with Thomas Drahorad.

We analyzed five retailers to assess late-November trends, a period when supply tends to decline and quality differences become more evident.

📌 First discounter: Red Globe loose at €2.49. Sicilian PGI grapes are absent at the same price tag. Seedless at €1.99 for the Autumncrisp white varieties and the Autumncrisp/Scarlotta mix of poor quality.

📌 Second store: higher prices and minimal assortment (only 2 varieties), Autumncrisp seedless at €4.40, Uva Italia with seeds at €2.98, not in good condition.

📌 Third discounter: only seedless varieties in 500g, 800g, and loose.

📌 Fourth store: Red Globe is missing, and only two out of four lines achieve passing grade. Autumnking and Uva Italia are in poor condition, while the Autumncrisp basket is excellent.

📌 Fifth discount store: Four varieties in total, including three seedless, Autumncrisp, and two Scarlotta varieties. Uva Italia in bulk at attractive prices.

La ricerca sta facendo passi da gigante e presto le varietà resistenti all’oidio saranno una realtà.
Unire resistenza alle malattie, qualità e caratteristiche commerciali non è semplice, ma la direzione è chiara: ridurre i trattamenti, migliorare la sostenibilità e rendere la viticoltura sempre più evoluta.
Ricordiamo però che siamo in natura, in un sistema dinamico, dove anche queste resistenze potrebbero essere superate nel tempo. 🍇

Ottobre evidenzia le principali dinamiche del mercato dell’uva da tavola nella GDO con prezzi che risultano abbastanza allineati tra i distributori e differenze soprattutto su formati e qualità.

📌 Primo supermercato: uva in rinfusa con prevalenza di Red Globe e qualche Italia a 2,98€/kg. In secondo piano le uve confezionate, bianche con o senza semi e rosse senza semi, tra 2,38€ e 2,98€/kg.

📌 Secondo punto vendita: 11 referenze, di cui 4 in promozione. Prezzi da 1,98€ per l’Italia in rinfusa e cassette, fino a 5€ per la Sweet Celebration in cestini.

📌 Terzo punto vendita: uve con semi in rinfusa di qualità, Red Globe e Palieri a 2,49€/kg, uva Italia in offerta a 1,99€, mentre le uve senza semi oscillano tra 4€ e 5€.
