Groupe Beneteau and Fountaine Pajot Group, two of the leading sailing yacht manufacturers, are collaborating to create E-Lektra Marine, a joint venture bringing together seven brands with the goal of defining an open standard for the energy architecture of sailing yachts.
The brands involved in the initiative are Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Excess, Fountaine Pajot Sailing Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot Yachts, and Dufour.
The collaboration aims to overcome the current technological fragmentation by integrating the inevitable market differences, where each manufacturer tends to develop its own systems.
