🎬 Stories Across Borders: How Audiovisual Communication Enhances Territorial Cooperation

On 3 September, projects, filmmakers and institutional representatives gathered at the Venice Lido to explore how audiovisual storytelling can make territorial cooperation more engaging and accessible.

The event opened with the Interreg Cooperation Day organised by the Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE National Contact Point together with the Veneto Region, which showcased The Fairy Tales – We Tell Them, a project funded by Interreg Italy-Slovenia.

The spotlight then turned to Interreg Italy-Croatia, with presentations of REEL and MAPA and the audiovisual stories developed by the two projects to bring their territories, cultural heritage and environmental challenges closer to audiences.

Across these different projects and programmes, the same idea emerged: audiovisual storytelling allows stories to travel, brings distant places closer, makes shared challenges tangible and turns cooperation into something people can see and feel.

💡 Work-Based Learning in Circular Fashion: From Classroom to Industry
🎓 The green and digital transition in fashion cannot be achieved through classroom knowledge alone. Learners also need opportunities to apply their knowledge in real working environments.
🧵 Work-based learning brings students, educators and industry professionals together. Through practical projects, workshops, company visits and mentoring, learners can develop skills that respond directly to the changing needs of the textile and fashion sector.
♻️ In circular fashion, this may include working with sustainable materials, designing durable and repairable products, reducing production waste, using digital tools and developing solutions for reuse and recycling.
🤝 These experiences allow learners to understand real industry challenges. At the same time, companies benefit from new ideas, emerging talent and stronger cooperation with education and training providers.
🌍 Through ReMODE and its Centres of Vocational Excellence, work-based learning supports the development of green, digital and entrepreneurial skills across Europe—helping transform knowledge into practice and practice into lasting change.

The CB VET FORestore partners had an online meeting on the 26th June 2026. The meeting focused on the coordination of forthcoming project activities i.e mobilities, development and review of MOOC learning modules, language requirements for the MOOC platform and campaign materials, and the planning of dissemination and pilot activities.
