When your hotel has 700 years of history, sustainability is about far more than energy bills.

Due Torri Hotel achieved GSTC certification across all four of its luxury properties in Verona, Bologna, Florence and Genoa. But getting there meant confronting a very real challenge: buildings protected as architectural heritage, where structural changes are simply not an option. Every requirement of the certification process had to work within those boundaries.

As Giorgia Gazzuola, Sales and Marketing Director, puts it: "an effort, a dedication, but above all a source of pride."

Four days in Phuket that confirmed something we have been seeing for a while: the sustainable tourism industry is not just growing, it is gaining real momentum. The conversations at were sharper, more concrete, and more urgent than ever before.

Seeing an entire panel of certified properties on stage, most of them certified by Vireo, was a reminder of how far this market has come and how much we have grown alongside it. The data backs it up too: interest around certification has risen significantly compared to the Fiji edition. The direction is set, and we are proud to be part of it.

And beyond the panels and the data, there was something harder to put into words: the colors, the energy, the warmth of the people and the place. Phuket made it impossible not to feel inspired.

Last November we stepped into the primary schools of Rosà to tell a story, one we built entirely from scratch, because these are topics we genuinely care about.

That's how Smogotron and the Silent Giants came to life. A tale about pollution, collaboration and responsibility. About trees that, standing together, protect their home. 🌲

That seed kept growing, and these past days the story reached the classrooms of Padova, on the occasion of World Forest Day.

Today it's a simple story. Tomorrow, a more conscious generation. 💚

Vireo On Tour has reached its final stop, and we couldn't have chosen a better place.

In , we had the privilege of exploring the questions that truly matter with Guy Bigwood, CEO of the Global Destination Sustainability Movement: how transparency is becoming non-negotiable for travellers, how sustainability is reshaping competitiveness on a global scale, and how the balance between residents and visitors is the real test of any destination's resilience.

This project gave us something rare: the chance to open a genuine dialogue between operators, institutions, and local communities, in the places where these questions don't just get discussed, but lived.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey and believed that real change starts from the ground up.

This is just the beginning.
